We have recently done the interiors of this apartment in Park Place on Golf course road.
It’s a four bedroom apartment with a master bedroom, daughter’s room, guest room, and Mother’s room and we have designed each one keeping in mind the utility of the space and person residing there.
This is the semi-formal drawing room/living room. We have highlighted one wall in yellow color keeping in mind that it’s the first thing you see when you enter the apartment so it needed to be cheerful and welcoming. We’ve kept the whole look of the place contemporary with a couple of semi-classical furniture pieces which break the monotony and rhythm.
This is the entrance foyer of the house. We have painted the left side of the wall white with grooves on it to conceal the door which leads you to the powder room. We have placed a console made of wood, stone, and metal which is adorned with artifacts and pictures to improve the aesthetics of the space.
We have placed mirrors on one of the walls of the dining room which brighten up the whole space with colorful frames of the mirrors and make the whole area look spacious and large.
The white kitchen is adorned with multi-colored Gothic tiles, add colour to the Kitchen and breaks the monotony. The glazed tiles not only look beautiful but are easy to clean and maintain.
This is the guest room, which the headboard all in mint green colour with grooving done on it to add texture and some character. The soft colour in the room is very welcoming and soothing. Since different guests would be staying here, the color chosen is neutral to be liked by all and room looks cheerful and happy.
Powder toilet cum guest toilet.T his toilet is attached to the guest room and also has access from the living area and can be used as a powder room. Its a small toilet has so done up in monochromatic colors, thus making it look spacious. The rustic mirror highlights the wall and looks very attractive in the whole space.
This is a little balcony attached to the master bedroom which has a small seating for two with a utilitarian cabinet adorned by plants on top thus looks very lively and comforting.
This is a little girls room which has a highlighted wall in multi couloured, pastel wallpaper. The room is primarily white with use of laminate which can be easily cleaned and maintained. The room accommodates a pull out bed, dresser with wardrobe and a study with storage. The pin-up board above the study is in a bring yellow colour which brightens up the whole room and is contrasting to the other muted soft colours used in the room.
Overall, we have done the whole house in a contemporary look with straight line furniture and some quirky accessories. Use of color, textures, wallpapers here and there adds to the look and creates focal points. The beauty of the house lies in its simplicity. We strongly suggest that changing a few accessories, adding and subtracting a few things can make the whole space look refreshed, vibrant and can take away the bland character and stereotype through the year. One can make little amendments as per the weather, season and utility to make the whole space more utilitarian and inviting.
